The origin of the A. Louis Supply Company dates back to 1905. In 1948, the company was acquired by a corporation headed by Sanford E. Coblitz. The corporation has expanded from a small supplier of plumbing and heating materials to a broad-line supplier in 11 major categories encompassing 700 product lines and stocking over 30,000 different items. The major categories of materials sold are: electrical equipment, supplies, and motors; pipe, valves, and fittings; cutting tools and abrasives; hand power tools; industrial rubber products; underground utility supplies; contractor's supplies; plumbing equipment; fasteners; safety supplies; and miscellaneous mill supplies.
In 1986, the ownership of the corporation was assumed by G. Richard Coblitz. ALSCO's customer-base includes: industrial plants; plumbing, heating, excavating, electrical, and building contractors; municipalities; schools; hospitals; and many other types of commercial enterprises. We maintain our own fleet of trucks and deliver goods to our customers on a regular schedule within sixty miles of Ashtabula.
Although most of our business is regional, we do have a growing number of customers across the country. If you need something we carry, give us a call, fax, or E-mail and we will help you using our ninety-plus years of industrial distributing resources.
